A lot of Lab Hours regulars must have stayed indoors to avoid the heat this week. It was a smaller crowd this time around, and I got to catch up with more people than usual. It was nice! After a brief diversion on the history of locally-owned bookstores (Barry has the inside scoop!), we set our sights on:
- After sucessfully rocking her video content, Lindagail is setting her sights on embedded audio content for her native american business directory. She added added an album widget so that you can purchase individual mp3's on the site!
- Kay is working on her gallery, and got image descriptions and alt text's working. She's also us to help her "hack" her site ( hint, if you forget your admin password and email address, help is just a SQL administrator away )
- Maryann is almost ready to launch her new site! And she's still fixing up some CSS/color issues. She now has "orange"! Firebug to the rescue. Barry also gave Maryann and Tim a quick-and-dirty CSS overview.
- Tim has got some "vague" issues with aggregator modules, and is looking for "vague" answers. He's also excited about launching his first big Drupal site! He worked through CSS issues and others.
- Jay is working with the calendar setup and encountering javascript issues. Sometimes, these issues can be frustrating.
- Don is working on his "military date" issues. We finally found the solution in a tricky drupal issue. This was obscured by the fact that he's using ViewField instead of page views. While this made for some extra troubleshooting, it was totally worth it, because his event calendars and reviews show up beautifully on his site.
- Steve is working on building a theme, and I showed him some of the ropes of our SVN administration area. He also followed along with Kay on Image field issues.
